style, who can look best while sideways." (Taylor Shinobu Williams, May 27, 2023) Earlier this year, we wrote a blog hinting at some big moves coming for Drift Colorado. We are excited to announce, Formula Drift and Drift Colorado are joining forces! For spectators, drifters, videographers etc, this means the stoke level has gone up ten fold! Drift Colorado as a whole, has been working around the clock to make sure this year is like no other year. What exactly does this mean for the community? Every year, Drift Colorado welcomes both new and old drivers to compete. "While we now offer a full
championship competition series, we still tailor the events to allow a first time driver to come out and have the time of their life" (Drift Colorado: About Section) This year, a new group got added, Formula Drift. Each event is an “all skills” type event allowing the perfect mixture of new drivers all the way to a few of our very own local PRO2 Formula Drift drivers. These events are geared towards all things drifting, (as they should be.) That being said, if you are a newbie drifter, there is plenty of learning experiences to be had and lots of fellow drifters who don't mind giving pointers and assisting as they can.
For those of you who have never been to a Drift event, especially in Colorado, get ready for lots of car
engines roaring around the corner, dirt from the tires hitting your face and if your lucky, getting to ride with one of the many drifters! For everyone else who puts at least one Drift event on their calendar, there are now 3 levels for competing! Group B, Group A and the newest addition, Formula Drift. Can't make it to all of these events, no problem. For the major events, Drift Colorado has a live stream that we push out through multiple avenues. You can find them on their YouTube page, Facebook page and a few other Facebook pages.
As the automotive season rolls on, so do all the Drift Colorado events. This organization provides at least one event from May-October. Trust us when we say, you really don't want to miss out on the level of stoke these events bring!
