"Heartstrings and Hubcaps: Nurturing the Next Generation of Young Car Enthusiasts

We've all been there, that kid so excited to go a automotive event with our family! Getting to work alongside our dad, grandpa, uncle or mom, aunt etc. Seeing, hearing and smelling all the sights, sounds and smells of cars getting cleaned, worked on and engines roaring to life. For many, this is where there passion for cars started.

Meet Tarron Meade, Shannon Meade grandson. When this photo was submitted for our calendar contest, all the judges saw it and it instantly reminded them of childhood and for some why they are in the car scene. "I just remember washing my Tykes car when my dad was washing his Gremlin or working on my John Deere pedal tractor next to my papa while he was working on one of his tractors at the ranch." Or from another judge, "I have my boys out in the garage and shows and meets and everything with me, I can say my boys are car boys for sure even if I wasn't here tomorrow." This photo triggered a lot of memories of the automotive scene.

The Automotive scene is powerful. There are passions, loyalty, dedication and emotions constantly moving through it. For some, its the thrill of being behind the wheel. For others, its getting to be with like minded people, sharing their passions, hearing the stories, seeing cars shine.

This photo spoke to all the judges, and we hope it speaks to you as well! To us, it is a reminder of childhood, of working in the shop or garage with grandpa, dad/mom, uncles/aunts or close mentor. It reminds us of the passion we have, where it came from and to continue to pass that on to the generations that are coming.
