You know those things that you see on the wall of a shop, garage, or even your home that keep dates and inform you of future happenings?
Each one has 12 Months, 52 weeks, and 365 days except on leap year. That's right I'm talking about calendars.
Though they may come in many sizes and shapes, with a plethora of pictures and writing space options. I am going to talk about a very specific type of calendar today. The Car calendar!
That's right the one thing every Car aficionado needs in their life (even if it never changes months). If you are not aware already then let me tell you first a back story on the calendar in question. a little over 5 years ago Street Scene Review hosted its first online calendar contest. Pitting photos of beautiful automotive feats of engineering against each other, it was not only a battle of the photographer, but also the owner of the builds pride on the line! and this years calendar contest was no different!
With over 600 submissions sent in our judges had a lot of work ahead of them. It was touch and go for a while there as our judges had some very hard deliberating to do, not only was the quantity at large, so was the Quality!
Everybody brought their A game this year and it showed. This made the process even tougher for our judges. Having to resort to asking the peoples descision multiple times Just to ensure the Race kept going!
But in the end we where able to...
(with your help) come up with a solid 12 Photos to put in this years Street Scene review calendar. This year was truly special as not only was it a record breaking submision rate, but the love and support form everyone involved was tremendous! I can not thank all of you enough for making this contest so great!
